JANUARY
Solar highways in Germany
VINCI Highways commissions its fi rst photovoltaic production unit in Germany. It is installed on the roof of the operations centre of the A5 highway (Via Solutions Südwest) south of Karlsruhe, where it will produce a nominal capacity of 38.625 kWp of carbon-free electricity.
PARTNERS TO HYDROGEN
VINCI Concessions invests €15 million in Hype, France’s first integrated hydrogen mobility platform, and becomes its exclusive partner for the construction of new hydrogen production and distribution infrastructure in the Greater Paris area, as well as the development of the hydrogen network in France and internationally.
FEBRUARY
A first for Salvador Bahia in Brazil
Salvador Bahia airport is awarded ISO 14001 certification the first airport in Brazil to receive this international standard, confirming the excellence of its environmental management system.
MARCH
All airports ACA 4+ certified in Portugal
With 10 airports managed by VINCI Airports awarded ACA4+ by the ACI’s environmental assessment programme, Portugal becomes the first country in the EU to achieve this level for its entire airport system.
APRIL
AN XXL SOLAR PLANT AT LYON-SAINT EXUPÉRY AIRPORT
VINCI Airports announces the launch of a 14-hectare solar farm installed on car park shade structures at Lyon Saint Exupéry airport. It will be one of the largest of its type in France, offering 20 MWp capacity and generating 24 GWh of green electricity annually to be injected into the grid to power local towns.
VINCI Highways takes control of the Bogotá-Girardot highway in Colombia
VINCI Highways acquires an additional stake in the company that holds the concession to the Bogotá Girardot highway, taking its share from 50% to 75%. VINCI Highways also finalises the long term financing of the project for an amount of €535 million.
VIAPLUS, VINCI HIGHWAYS’ NEW FREE-FLOW BRAND
VINCI Highways launches its new mobility brand ViaPlus. ViaPlus specialises in free flow traffic systems, offering transport agencies a full range of technologies to process high volume transactions, customer operations and data analytics.
