Ellevate, the VINCI Concessions mentoring programme for women
VINCI Concessions is working to increase the number of women in its workforce, including in technical professions, and improve female representation at all levels of management. To do so, it guides women throughout their careers in all the countries in its network, offering them opportunities that align with their aspirations and striving to attract more women to the mobility sector. This approach is already bearing fruit; for example, a number of airports in the network are headed by women in France, the Dominican Republic and Brazil. In 2022, to accelerate this change, VINCI Concessions created an international mentoring programme, Ellevate, to help high-potential female employees by offering them key knowledge related to leadership, networking and influence. The aim is to prepare the next generation of managers for their future responsibilities. Each participant is mentored by a member of the Executive Committee.
Background
Increasing the number of women in our workforce and in leadership positions is a challenge that we face everywhere we operate, all over the world. But mentoring and championing role models for young women are effective ways of removing the obstacles to this aim.
