2023-2024 Activity Report

Impact for people

Key projects and today, management responsibilities.

“I started my career at ViaPlus in 2018 as a director in charge of managing database systems and the database team. I already had 19 years of experience in the IT sector, 13 of which in the US. At ViaPlus, I had the opportunity to manage fantastic projects involving data migration, app development and system stabilisation in the US, for example, with the North Texas Tollway Authority and the SR-91 in California, as well as in Ireland with the M50 Dublin ring road. In 2022 I was named Deputy head of technology at ViaPlus, and I am now part of the subsidiary’s Executive Committee. I am delighted to know that, through this role, I will take part in the development of ViaPlus.”

I never imagined I could have this job one day, or take on these responsibilities and so quickly!

“I joined MESEA in 2016 as a project assistant. I was responsible for helping operational staff write a safety reference guide and carry out administrative tasks. I wanted a role that I could really thrive in, so when I discovered the various railway professions through my work with operational staff, I wanted to change careers. After talking to my manager, I started an internal conversion to become a track and catenary maintenance worker. After months of training I became one in 2017 just before commercial operation of the high-speed line opened in July 2017. Four years later, I was appointed deputy team leader for track and overhead lines. To support me through this career progression, I was able to take lots of technical and safety training courses and in 2023, with other managers, I had coaching to develop my management skills. Today, I regularly take part in initiatives led by MESEA related to subjects I care about like increasing the number of women working in railway professions alongside the “Elles Bougent” association. I also occasionally train people at the MESEA Académie, sharing my expertise with new MESEA maintenance workers.”
